Bishop Election at Philadelphia Cathedral LiveStream

The Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral hosted the Special Convention to elect the 17th Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Philadelphia. An opening service was followed by several presentations and the election itself. For this important occasion, the Cathedral wished to share the events with as many people as possible, providing a LiveStream broadcast on their website for those who could not attend in person.

To say the least, the event was well-attended. Clear Sound equipment supplemented the Cathedral’s existing PA system, projector and screen, providing high-end microphones, an HD camera and TVs, as well as the console, video system, monitoring and distribution equipment. To ensure smooth sailing, the system was set up and thoroughly tested the day before. Clear Sound technicians ran the audio and video portion of the event, capturing the presentations cleanly and clearly. A projector and screen and 60” TVs at the front of the space ensured everyone had a clear view. Audio and video from Clear Sound’s video system encoded to LiveStream.com, which was embedded on the Cathedral’s homepage, so virtual attendees across the globe didn’t miss a thing.

Congratulations to Bishop-Elect The Rev. Canon Daniel Gutierrez, and welcome to Philadelphia!
