2022 Juneteenth Block Party Celebration

To celebrate the 2022 Juneteenth holiday, The African American Museum of Philadelphia (AAMP), in partnership with Welcome America, Wawa and Visit Philadelphia, hosted a block party showcasing music, food, drink and fun for everyone. 

Clear Sound, who also handles event production for the Welcome America July 4th celebration events, did the same for the block party and are proud to be involved in highlighting such an important ntional holiday right here in our town of Philadelphia. 

The 2022 Juneteenth block party, held at the 701 Arch Street location, was attended by hundreds of people. Featured artists included rapper Talib Kweli and the Peabody award winning poet, Black Ice. In between the acts, there was uplifting hip-hop and dance music played over the sound system Clear Sound set up and managed to keep everyone in good spirits. 

The large picture shows the crowd perspective toward the raised stage where the performers did their thing.  Thankfully, it was a beautiful sunny day. The header picture highlghts the opposite perspective, from the stage ut into the diverse and happy crowd.

The celebration was a great success and, most importantly, families, friends and complete strangers got to enjoy each other’s company and have a good time.
