Asplundh Concert Hall at West Chester University
The Emilie K. Asplundh Concert Hall is a performing arts venue located on West Chester University’s campus. More commonly known simply as Asplundh Hall, it was originally built in 1927. Over the past 15 years, several renovations have taken place to improve the venue, such as lighting and seating.
In January 2017, Clear Sound completely replaced Asplundh’s audio system. The system’s aging analog infrastructure has been completely replaced with a digital backbone, featuring Yamaha CL series consoles accepting Dante via Cisco switches from Yamaha RIO series stage boxes. The main loudspeaker systems have been replaced with left and right hangs of QSC KLA self-powered line source loudspeakers with matching subwoofers at the top of the arrays. Balcony fill is provided by additional KLA loudspeakers located in the lighting bridge.
University staff are delighted with the new system.
