SJU Jesus Christ superstar

We’re not out of the woods with COVID yet, so we’re still redesigning events to accommodate restrictions. Of course, everyone needs to stay safe, but the performing arts are important, too. St. Joseph’s University’s theater wanted to perform Jesus Christ Superstar this spring. The event had to be outside, which is always more challenging (think wind and rain), and it took months to find the right venue. Finally, the perfect place was found – a parking lot! Nice, level surface for the stage, room for a socially distanced audience in their cars – it was perfect. No traditional PA was used, since we broadcast audio directly to the audience via their car stereo systems. It was a terrific performance and we’re delighted to be part of the renewal of the live theater experience.
